Abstract
The inability of a person to see objects close to clearly can occur by several kinds of reasons, among others because of Hypermetropia. One way to overcome Hypermetropia is to provide glasses as a visual aid. Besides being due to refractive abnormalities such as Hypermetropia, the inability of a person to see objects clearly can be caused by organic abnormalities such as turbidity that occurs in a crystalline lens called Cataract, this can be overcome by surgical extraction by removing the crystalline lens that is present in the eye and replacing it with a planting lens (IOL) of someone who uses this planting lens is referred to as a Pseudo Phakia while it is not called Aphakia. The purpose of this study was to determine how to carry out the subjective refraction examination in patients with extracted cataract surgery with hypermetropia status in aphakic patients. This research was conducted using descriptive methods through a qualitative approach. The data used in this study is secondary data and primary data. Secondary data is obtained through documentation and literature studies. While the primary data was obtained through survey studies at William Booth General Hospital Semarang. the number of people with visual impairment who received subjective refraction examination services at William Booth Hospital Semarang was 345 people, of these, 33.63% were male and 66.37% were female. When viewed from the distribution of refraction status, the number of hypermetropia sufferers was ranked 4. with a total of 27 people. Of the total, 3.47% were male and 4.34% were female.
