Abstract

Newborns are not yet able to regulate their own body temperature. Babies also need more extra warmth. Babies need a temporary shelter to stabilize body temperature who are experiencing hypothermia. Given the importance of this to provide protection and keep the baby's body temperature stable. Apart from the baby's temperature, another problem that is usually faced by babies is the appearance of a yellow color on their skin, this is due to the accumulation of excess bilirubin under the skin. Nurses usually dry their babies under Blue Light exposure, so that the color of the bilirubin on the skin can be reduced. In this problem we need a tool that can perform both functions. This Scientific Writing aims to design and design a device for babies with a specified temperature and pototherapy light time with an LCD display. To measure hot temperatures with the DS18B20 sensor, this tool uses an Arduino microcontroller as the system controller. The method of this tool is when the heater is on, the temperature can be adjusted manually and automatically follows the baby's temperature according to normal limits. For pototherapy lamps, the time can be set as needed and when the irradiation is complete, the buzzer will sound. Based on the results of the planning and supported by existing theory, it can be concluded that the Infant Warmer tool that is made can run according to what was planned before. After analyzing the results by calculating the temperature formula on the Infant Warmer Equipped with Phototherapy Simulation using a thermometer, an accuracy value of 96.69% is obtained and when using a smartphone, an accuracy value of 95.31% is obtained. It was concluded that the measurement test results were in accordance with the planning data so that the tool functioned properly.
