Abstract

On the campus of the Department of Electrical Engineering STIKES Widya Husada Semarang, a tool was created with the title Design of Stirrer and Heating Plate made by Ajie Saputra (2013). This tool can help laboratory medical personnel to work quickly, precisely and efficiently. So that the results obtained are faster and maximum, but there are still weaknesses, namely the motor is not stable, because the RPM is still not settled or the gain is still changing. Modification of the stirrer with the ATMega 8 microcontroller-based heating plate aims to develop the tool with ATMega 8 AVR programming so that the module is updated in the speed menu, temperature control and the timer. The reason why a stirrer is made with a heating plate uses AVR programming that is to maximize the rotation of the solution so that the solution can be evenly mixed and display the RPM, temperature and timer on the LCD so that it is more efficient. Based on the results of testing the tools that have been done, the results of LM 35 temperature sensor measurements with an average accuracy rate of 98.015%. Temperature accuracy was obtained at 97.78%, accuracy of motor speed in the module with an average accuracy of 98.86%. The timer on the module obtained an average accuracy of 98.91%.
